SUMMARY:

Our North Houston client is a professional services company providing Engineering consulting services. The client is owned by a Private Equity firm in order to enable rapid growth and expansion. The company has been setting up and reestablishing accounting practices, policies and have implemented NetSuite.

They are needing strong accountants who enjoy a fast pace, changing and evolving situations and the opportunity to help create processes and structure. This is a fun, fast growing situation, and the company is excited to have the right team on board. The company is doing acquisitions rapidly, and is adding to their North Houston accounting team.

Responsibilities

  • Enter all Vendor Invoices, secure form W9’s for new vendors.
  • Generate and submit customer invoices. Assist the Controller with collection efforts.
  • Record all vendor payments and receipts.
  • Assist the Controller with treasury oversight and governance. Review the daily activity of the bank account(s), initiate electronic payments for C-suite approval at direction of the Controller.
  • Record all journal entries at the direction of the Controller.
  • Perform month-end close process to produce timely and accurate financials with guidance and supervision from the Controller. Includes reconciliation of cash and generation of balance sheet reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist the Controller and CFO with the configuration, training, and launch of NetSuite.
  • Assist the Controller and CFO in the development of budgets, forecasts, and data analysis.
  • Create PO’s-purchase orders in NetSuite for all subcontractors.
  • Assist the Controller and CFO with annual audit preparation.
  • Assist the Controller and CFO with Budget and Forecast preparation.
  • Other ad hoc requests.

REQUIREMENTS:

BBA Accounting

CPA desired

8+ years of general accounting experience required, or a combination of public accounting and industry experience.

NetSuite Strongly Preferred, Any ERP System Experience Helpful

Ability to work in a fast paced, unstructured environment
