Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and analytical Financial Analyst to join our team. The Financial Analyst will support various financial analysis activities and assist in providing insights to drive business decisions.
Location: Hybrid (3/2) in Los Angeles’ Arts District
Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to identify key trends, variances, and opportunities.
- Data Management: Input and maintain financial data accurately in spreadsheets and databases. Ensure data integrity and assist in data validation processes.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Assist in the development of financial forecasts and budgets by gathering and analyzing relevant data, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Variance Analysis: Analyze variances between actual and budgeted financial results, investigating the root causes of discrepancies and providing explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Financial Modeling: Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models to support business planning and decision-making processes, including scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and valuation modeling.
- Financial Reporting: Help prepare regular financial reports, including monthly/quarterly financial statements, budget vs. actual analysis, and variance reports.
- Ad-Hoc Reporting: Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management, providing insights into specific business issues or opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in a finance-related role
- Basic understanding of financial concepts and principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications. Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and willingness to learn from colleagues
