Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our team in Lansing, Michigan, for a hybrid position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, with a focus on gathering and analyzing business requirements, improving processes, and delivering effective solutions that meet business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders, including business users and IT teams, to gather and document business requirements for new systems, processes, and enhancements.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze current business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to support decision-making, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Create detailed functional specifications, business process models, and other documentation to clearly communicate requirements and project scope to development teams and stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Assist in project planning, monitoring progress, and ensuring that project deliverables meet business requirements and are completed on time.
  • Testing and Validation: Collaborate with QA teams to develop and execute test plans, ensuring that system changes align with business needs and requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of business needs and technical constraints.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring a smooth transition to new systems or processes.
  • Reporting: Generate reports and dashboards to track project progress, performance metrics, and key business indicators.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve business analysis processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects in a hybrid environment.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies, such as BPMN, UML, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with project management tools and software, such as JIRA, Trello, or MS Project.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools is a plus.
  • Certifications: CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or similar certification is preferred.
