SMT Technician

Circuit Works Corporation was founded in 1989 and is a family owned, privately held company. We are an Electronic Contract Manufacturing Company that offers our clients flexibility of a small firm with the latest technology and stability that our industry offers. We are looking for an Equipment Technician to join our team in our Waukegan, IL facility. We have two facilities, one located in Waukegan, IL and one located in Agua Prieta, Mexico, southeast of Tucson, AZ.

Responsibilities include:

Performs machine programming, troubleshooting, and preventative and basic maintenance of all manufacturing equipment.

Provides superb customer service to production in support of equipment and processes

Assists in developing new processes and procedures to streamline process flow and increase efficiencies.

Create and maintains efficient programs for including but not limited to Screen Printers, SMT Placement Equipment, Reflow Ovens, Auto Insertion, and Wave Soldering.

Responsible for the preventative maintenance program.

· Participates in manufacturability review of assemblies for quality and efficiency.

· Create and control of all documentation relating to building a product.

· Create and assign manufacturing processes to new jobs.

· Create and update Bills of Material and Bills of Operations as well as other manufacturing documents.

Able to work safely around electro-mechanical equipment, read and understand schematics and drawings, diagnose equipment failures to the component or subassembly level.
