Our Client, headquartered in Birmingham, MI, is a private financial services firm established to support the investment and business endeavors of a prominent family. With over 30 years of strategic multi-generational investment management, Our Client provides best-in-class operations to the family’s business initiatives. The company was formed in 1998 following the sale of a successful pharmacy chain to a major retail corporation. We have partnered to hire a Financial Client Services Associate.


Job Duties:

  • Coordinate and assist with investment and financial partner stewardship, including managing meeting cycle, communication administration, and external and internal follow-up
  • Prepare meeting preparation and post-meeting briefing packages, including maintaining thorough notes from stakeholder meetings
  • Intake, organize and file paper and electronic correspondence and communications relating to the investment portfolio and family office/management company operation
  • Maintain and update financial records and lead the reporting document management function
  • Prepare financial reporting packages and other deliverables for stakeholders
  • Assist with preparation of investment committee memoranda and presentation materials for stakeholders and senior team members
  • Administrate and help facilitate detailed treasury functions (bank deposits, check preparation, wire entries, etc.)
  • Work with stakeholders and colleagues to ensure proper account opening procedures, documentation and implementation
  • Assist the investment team with preparing various legal documents (IE subscription agreements, KYC packages, LPA amendments, investor consents)
  • Support the investment research process for various asset classes, capital markets, and specific private or public companies
  • Assist with financial planning, forecasting and compliance functions
  • Manage projects related to financial planning, investment policy statements, and other deliverables
  • Assist with day-to-day stakeholder service requests; proactively resolve issues and concerns
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial efficiency



Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has a background in financial services administrative management with at least two (2) years of relevant work experience. The candidate must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, resourcefulness, time management, enjoy interacting with clients and service providers, and must be technologically proficient. In addition, the candidate should be a self-starter that works well independently and under pressure and is also collaborative and team-oriented with a growth mindset and can-do attitude.


Specific skills/background:

  • BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, business and/or similar discipline
  • Ability to interpret and communicate financial information
  • Excellent follow-up skills, and the ability to think strategically and solve problems
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational and client service skills; work effectively in a highly collaborative and fast-paced team environment
  • Skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing simultaneous projects and activities
  • Strong work ethic, educational background, and evidence of personal achievement
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • A personable, positive and a professional representative of the Company
  • A passion for success, learning, a positive attitude, and consistent work ethic are a must
  • Intellectual curiosity and a sense of humor
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software
  • Notary designation preferred
