Special Education Teacher

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs? Cross Country Education is currently seeking skilled and dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team in Avondale, AZ.
As part of the School District in Avondale, AZ you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs across various grade levels ranging from K-8. We are looking for 8 enthusiastic educators who are committed to creating inclusive learning environments and providing individualized support to students with disabilities.
Responsibilities:
Location: Avondale, AZ (Multiple Schools within Avondale School District)
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with a wide range of disabilities, including but not limited to learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional/behavioral disorders, and intellectual disabilities.
- Adapt instructional materials and methods to meet the unique learning needs and abilities of each student.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure that students receive appropriate accommodations and modifications in the general education setting.
- Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust teaching strategies as needed to promote academic and social-emotional growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance in compliance with school and district policies.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and actively engage in ongoing learning to stay current with best practices in special education.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- EDUCATION / CERTS, ETC: SPED CREDTIALED AZ TEACHER, IVP FINGERPRINTING CARD

- Previous experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting, preferably in a cross-categorical special education environment.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with diverse learning needs.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the individualized needs of each student.
