Director of Finance

The Director of Finance at Great Waters Financial is responsible for leadership and management of the

Finance department of the organization. This role serves as a senior leader and will ensure the health of

our financial systems, strategically informing and empowering the organization.


Responsibilities:

● Oversees and is accountable for the timely completion, accuracy, and completeness of the

financial accounting process, including all associated Financial Statements.

● Communication of financial performance through numerical and verbal channels to internal and

external parties, as needed.

● Maintains ongoing forecast with all relevant financial and other key business performance

information. Ensures alignment of resources and budgets accordingly across departments.

● Creates, models, and reviews financial implications of new business initiatives, providing insight

and opportunities for improvement to the leadership team.

● Provides insight to optimize data hygiene, integrity, and relevance.

● Accountable to ensuring the business is adequately covered for business risks. This includes

applicable insurances, cybersecurity, as well as structural design of incentives and other cash

outflow to mitigate financial risk to the business.

● Manages Finance vendor relationships and contract negotiation, review, and renewals (Banking,

Ramp, Advice Pay)

● Payroll & Variable Compensation Management

● Lead, Manage, and Coach Finance Team


Requirements:

● Excellent communication, problem solving and leadership skills

● 4+ Years of experience in Accounting/Financial Management

● Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel and other accounting technologies

● Strong Analytical skills and high attention to detail

● Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field

● Certified Public Accountant certification preferred
