Job Summary 

The primary function of the Journeyman Electrician is to support all construction disciplines to meet the company's goals, and has a strong background in commercial and industrial environments. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, while adhering to all safety and code regulations. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including wiring, circuits, panels, and lighting. 
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical code specifications. 
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, providing effective solutions in a timely manner. 
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with local and national electrical codes. 
• Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget. 
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained. 
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with clients regarding their electrical needs and solutions. 

Qualifications 

• • Valid Certificate of Fitness for State of Alaska 
• • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety practices. 
• • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. 
• • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
• • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• • Must be able to pass drug test, background check and have valid drivers license. 
• • Must be willing to join IBEW Local 1547.

Salary 

Hourly pay is $50.94 and subject to union raises.
