Job Title: Agricultural Production and Trial Technician
Location: 1736 N 1200E, Fowler, IN 47944
Duration: 8 Months with possible extension
Summary
- The Agricultural Production and Trial Technician will be a key member of the soybeans processing and Product Development team at the 1736 N 1200E, Fowler, IN research site.
- They will be heavily relied upon to assist Client Product Development team with completing a variety of necessary activities associated with soybean evaluation and processing.
- This role will involve assisting the team with planting, evaluating, harvesting, and processing soybean for the purpose of research and development.

- This job will involve processing soybean, evaluating soybean trials, and generating meaningful data.
- Required- Recent work experience within an agricultural environment.
- Reliable- Safety conscious- Clear and collaborative communication skills-
- Able to lift 55 pounds.
- Attention to detail.
- PC literate. Some knowledge preferred of Microsoft office and email. Candidate needs to able to work under low supervision/proactive.

Responsibilities
- Packaging and sorting seed.
- Helping plant soybean locations. Driving tractor or dumping packets.
- Maintaining soybean plot locations.
- Harvesting soybean plots locations using plot combine.
Qualification
Agricultural/field research background would be preferred but not required.
- Working outdoors in cold, heat, dusty, or windy.
- Have experience operating small farm equipment (helpful) or willingness to learn
- Have attention to detail and a focus on safety
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision.
Additional
- Candidate must have a driver's license. Candidate will be traveling to different sites (within about 2.5 hours) in a company vehicle
