As a Senior Technical Program Manager reporting directly to our Leader of Project Controls for Tesla's Infrastructure group. You will be an integral member of the infrastructure team. This position is crucial in sustaining organizational operations for small R&D through large scale Mega projects within construction, facilities, and manufacturing environments across the United States. You will lead the coordination efforts across various cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with overarching program goals and facilitating seamless execution of projects. Responsibilities

  • Strategic calendar management and time planning support. Use executive maturity and judgment with full knowledge of business context to execute decisions around prioritization and maintain constant communication with manager. Exercise a sense of priority and awareness for high impact meetings, and urgent business needs, and ensures follow-up.
  • Will manage communication between different departments and locations
  • ⁠Proactively drive communication and liaise between executives, central teams, and other business partners to share information and practices that drive efficiency.
  • Driving deliverables forward.
  • ⁠Navigate with executive maturity and calmness in dynamic situations. Use executive maturity to escalate issues, proactively ensuring teams effectiveness and consistency
  • ⁠Balance multiple complex projects and timelines end to end while maintaining executional and operational excellence within the division and across business groups
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Factory Design, Factory Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Product Engineering/Manufacturing, Legal, Real Estate, Finance, Operations, and other supporting functions to drive Infrastructure programs
  • Partner with stakeholders to create detailed plans that cover strategy, scope, timelines, risks, resource needs, and cost targets to accelerate pivotal infrastructure programs
  • Offer innovative and timely solutions to address/overcome program challenges
  • With a focus on Project Controls disciplines: Produce program reports and executive summaries in tandem with functional leaders from the infrastructure organization
  • With a focus on Project Controls disciplines: Innovate and implement tools and analytics for project reporting, enabling program teams to concentrate on problem-solving
  • Support the personal and professional growth of the team through managing training databases and developing new training programs
  • Facilitate efficient and actionable meetings across project teams, ensuring timely follow-ups
  • Offer organizational support to the leadership team and anticipate, plan, and synchronize internal logistics across various projects and facilities in the Bay Area
  • Maintain a proactive, can-do attitude, willing to undertake any necessary task to support the team and ensure successful project outcomes

Requirements

  • B.S. in engineering or business, or the equivalent in experience
  • 7+ years of experience in program management
  • Construction, industrial, large EPC, oil and gas, manufacturing industry background
  • Mastery in prioritizing tasks with impeccable time management skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously with minimal guidance, demonstrating a proactive and motivated mindset
  • Evident strong interpersonal skills, ensuring productive channels of communication and management of professional relationships
  • Eagerness to immerse oneself in projects, showcasing a hands-on approach
  • Open-mindedness, with an enthusiasm for exploring innovative ideas, continuous learning, and addressing challenging problems.


Compensation: $70-$90/hr
