Job Description:

The Senior Contract Specialist will support the Strategic Sourcing department, providing essential services to the Investment Operations and Investment Group at an enterprise level. This role involves close collaboration with internal customers and colleagues to understand business requirements for goods and services, primarily focusing on information technology and professional services. The Senior Contract Specialist will administer, manage, and negotiate complex and/or high-dollar acquisitions.


This is a hybrid, 12-month contract position based in Irvine, CA with a pay range of $65.00-$68.97 per hour.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business units to determine negotiation objectives, such as additional services, optimal value, and favorable contract terms.
  • Develop, scope, construct, issue, and coordinate requests for Information, Quotation, and Proposal based on business requirements.
  • Develop negotiation strategies and lead negotiations of complex contract provisions.
  • Collaborate with business units and other subject matter advisors to represent the best interests of the company in negotiations.
  • Evaluate and manage RFX vendor responses, providing analysis and recommendations to business areas.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Insurance, and Risk departments to develop complex Statements of Work (SOW) or contracts for sourcing engagements or projects.
  • Ensure contract terms and conditions meet business requirements and help Business Partners understand contractual implications.
  • Work with business areas to develop overall vendor strategies, including spend analysis, vendor and product/service research, benchmarking, vendor viability, and risk mitigation.
  • Deliver consistently excellent results and value for stakeholders by effectively working with customers, colleagues (e.g., Investment Operations, IT, Legal, Risk, etc.), and suppliers.
  • Manage ambiguity and change while working in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Manage individual project timelines and drive project completion under limited supervision.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively conduct complex project/program meetings and influence others.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-6 years of advanced contracting/sourcing experience with expertise in strategic and tactical procurement principles, practices, and models.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience in other disciplines such as Finance, Sales, Operations, etc., is highly preferred but not required.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to present to all audience levels.


The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $65.00-$68.97 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
