Role : Incident Response Lead

Location : Michigan , Detroit , USA


Roles and responsibilities :


The Incident Response Specialist is responsible for managing and executing the organization's incident response activities to mitigate the impact of cybersecurity threats. This role involves detecting, analysing, and responding to security incidents in real-time, as well as leading post-incident investigations and recovery efforts. The Incident Response Specialist works closely with other cybersecurity professionals and IT teams to ensure that threats are identified, contained, eradicated, and lessons are learned to strengthen the organization's security posture


1.Team Management:

Lead and manage the entire security engagement.

Train, and mentor team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge

Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development.


2. Incident Detection and Analysis:

- Monitor security alerts and indicators of compromise (IOCs) to identify potential security incidents.

- Analyze security events, logs, and data from various sources (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS) to assess the severity and impact of incidents.

- Perform initial triage and determine the appropriate response actions for confirmed incidents.

3. Incident Response and Mitigation:

Direct and orchestrate the company’s response to all security threats.Ensure timely and effective resolution of security incidents.

Lead and coordinate response efforts during security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery activities.


4.Security Strategy:

Collaborate with other IT and security teams to develop and refine the organization's security posture. Recommend and implement best practices for security monitoring and incident response.

Skills:


5• Technical Expertise:

Deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices and technologies. Required tools: Splunk, Log Integration, Crowdstrike, Anomali, SOAR



Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $100000 to $125000. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
