Location: Zebulon, North Carolina

Onsite 5 Days Each Week


Responsibilities:

  • 1. Complete planning of complex device installations within the data center, considering standard business practices and established processes.
  • 2. Assist in planning of data center layouts, cabling infrastructure, and power distribution to support stability, flexibility, and resiliency within the data center environment.
  • 3. Demonstrate full understanding and knowledge of IT departmental responsibilities, change management, problem determination/resolution, and resource allocation.
  • 4. Provide support and oversight as required for the IT Data Center Security Policy.
  • 5. Provide collaboration with Data Center Services teammates and other technology teams in support of corporate objectives, project goals and initiatives.
  • 6. Demonstrate strong Project Management skills in order to support project activity coordination for the Data Center Services Team.
  • 7. Develop and maintain documentation for supported IT Enterprise Infrastructure to include updates and support of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM).
  • 8. Retain ongoing knowledge of facilities management and technology within the supported IT Enterprise Infrastructure..


Required Skills:

  • 1. Experience planning data center layouts, cabling infrastructure and / or power distribution stability, flexibility, and resiliency within the data center environment
  • MUST HAVE GOOD DCM TOOL EXPERINECE - Doesnt have to be Nlyte but something similar like Schneider
  • MUST HAVE ENTERPRISE DATA CENTER EXPERIENCE - Banking not needed...must understand how Data Centers are laid out and understand the technology behind them
  • Experience partnering with a network team, a lot of the project will be working with the network team so network technology knowledge is huge
  • 2. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience
  • 3. Understanding of technology concepts
  • NOT looking for a PM...this project already has a PM, focus on the "planning" aspect.
