This includes VMware vSphere, Windows Server/Active Directory, Veeam backup operations, and physical server hardware management (Dell PowerEdge).This engineer will play a critical role in maintaining high availability, performance, and security across mission-critical systems while partnering with networking, systems, and application teams to resolve escalated issues.This is a 100% onsite, hands-on role ideal for a seasoned infrastructure engineer comfortable working across virtualization, Windows systems, hardware, storage, and backup environments.Key ResponsibilitiesVMware VirtualizationDeploy, configure, and manage VMware vSphere clusters, ESXi hosts, and virtual machinesPerform resource allocation, performance tuning, and health monitoringApply patches, upgrades, and follow strict change controlWindows Server AdministrationInstall and maintain Windows Server 2019+Manage DNS, DHCP, IIS, file/print servicesImplement OS hardening, patching, and CA/certificate managementActive Directory ManagementAdminister users, groups, OUs, and GPOsTroubleshoot authentication and AD-integrated servicesMaintain DNS/DHCP dependenciesBackup & Recovery (Veeam)Configure and manage Veeam Backup & ReplicationConduct restore testing, monitor job status, resolve failuresMaintain retention and DR readinessPhysical Hardware ManagementRack, cable, and configure Dell PowerEdge serversRun diagnostics, firmware upgrades, and hardware replacementCoordinate Dell warranty and support ticketsDocumentation & Project SupportMaintain system documentation and KB articlesParticipate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and expansionsCross-Team CollaborationWork with network, systems, and application teams on escalated issuesProvide onsite support for urgent incidentsRequired QualificationsAssociate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field7+ years of enterprise server infrastructure experienceStrong hands-on VMware vSphere (8.0+) experienceProficiency with Windows Server & Active Directory administrationExperience with Veeam Backup & ReplicationHands-on experience with Dell PowerEdge serversFamiliarity with SAN/NAS storage & networking fundamentalsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in IT or related fieldCertifications such as:VCP-DCV (VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization)Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator (AZ-800/801)Dell Server/Storage certificationsExperience with PowerShell, Python, automation, and scriptingExperience migrating AD or O365 domainsKnowledge of ITIL (Change/Incident Management)Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOX, PCI)Strong soft skills: communication, organization, teamwork3+ years of Big 4 consulting preferredStable work history with large enterprise environments
