Our client, a robotic and consumer product company, is looking to hire a remote Senior Global Trade Compliance Analyst.


In this role, you will ensure the compliance with industry standards, laws, and regulations. This position must ensure adherence with all commerce, CBSA and CBP regulations while strategically and continuously improving the trade compliance program.


Contract Duration: 3 months with possible extension


Required Skills & Experience

  • 5 years of related experience working with international trade regulations and import/export laws
  • Expert knowledge of HTS classifications, valuation, assist declarations and free trade agreements (specifically USMCA)
  • Demonstrated history of managing broker, forwarder, and carrier relationships.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to creatively craft win-win scenarios with trade compliance internal/external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact and communicate appropriately at all levels within the organization.
  • Experience with managing global logistics partners and international routing strategies a plus.


What You Will Be Doing

  • Conduct regular customs entry audits and request corrections as needed
  • Own global assist analysis and value adjustment declarations
  • Ensure accurate classification of products for import/export purposes including determination of tariff codes and export control classifications
  • Analyze tariff expenses
  • Analyze freight rates and organizational spend
  • Oversee the strategic direction implementation of customs compliance audits and procedures
  • Work with legal supply chain to improve customs and trades
