We’re supporting our client, a leading global equipment manufacturer based in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania who are looking for a Test & Repair Technician to join their growing team. The successful Test & Repair Technician will have experience of working within a high-volume metal manufacturing environment.
Salary: $22 - $35 per hour

Job Summary:
The Test & Repair Technician performs a variety of technical support tasks involving the inspecting, calibrating, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electronic products and subassemblies. This role/position helps ensure products and subassemblies meet quality standards and manufacturer’s specifications.
The Test & Repair Technician uses a variety of T&M Equipment and software applications to complete support tasks. The Board Test & Repair Technician adheres to all production control material management work procedures and policies, as defined by business Quality Management System.
Responsibilities:
- Board assembly programming and functional test execution.
- Perform product failure analysis, identifying assembly level replacement to yield.
- Perform basic repair: solder touch up, contact placement or crimping when possible.
- Communicate to product assembly recommended assembly level replacement.
- Report test & failure analysis yield regularly according to work execution policies.
- Perform circuit board troubleshooting & repair to the failed component level.
- Coordinate as needed component level rework with assembly/repair personnel.
- Report troubleshooting results within data collection/reporting systems.
- Follow production material control and disposition methods, policies & practices.
- Identification & communication of negative yield & repair trends requiring analysis.
- Participation in sustaining maintenance & calibration of test fixtures & equipment.
- Recommendation of test fixture improvements to drive yield improvement.
- Participation with verification/acceptance of board & subassembly text fixtures.
- Work in a timely manner to ensure customer needs are fulfilled, deadlines are met and meet expected productivity goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
About You:
- Assoc. Degree required (ET, other). Bachelor’s Degree viewed as differentiator.
- 5-7 years’ work experience with product test and electronic board component level repair of embedded electronic products.
- Advanced skill in setup/use of T&M equipment (DDMs, O-Scope, etc.).
- Advanced skill in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and engineering drawings.
- Advanced skill in component level troubleshooting and repair on electronic board assemblies.
- Strong Communication Skill (verbal/written).
- Work effectively (individual or small team).
- Advanced Problem-Solving Skills (knowledge seeker).
- Microsoft Office Proficiency (Office, Word, & Excel).
- Ability to execute work to communicated day to day priorities.
- Ability to execute work to expected time standards.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task with a high degree of attention to details.
- Organizational Skills
