Construction Manager

Position Title: Telecom Field Construction Manager

Job Summary: This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction phase of our projects. This includes overseeing site preparation, equipment installation, and quality control to ensure projects are completed safely, correctly, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Coordination:

• Collaborate with Project Manager to analyze and develop project plans and schedules
• Collaborate with PMO to determine project materials depending on scope.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and equipment deliveries.

1. Site Management:

• Conduct site surveys to assess construction requirements and identify potential obstacles.
• Oversee site preparation activities when applicable
• Ensure that construction sites comply with safety regulations and customer policies.

1. Construction Oversight:

• Supervise construction activities, including equipment installation, tower modifications, civil work, and 3rd party vendor work.
• Monitor progress and identify any issues or delays that may impact project timelines
• Provide daily field updates
• Implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

1. Quality Assurance and Control:

• Conduct inspections to ensure that construction work meets quality standards and specifications.
• Implement quality control processes to identify and address any deficiencies or non-compliance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including materials used and work performed.

1. Vendor and Contractor Management:

• Manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment vendors.
• Ensure that vendors meet project requirements and deliverables.
• Monitor vendor performance and report/resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.

1. Stakeholder Communication:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
• Provide regular updates on project progress and milestones
• Address management concerns and facilitate communication between different parties involved in the project.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in telecom construction management, including site development, tower construction, and equipment installation.
• Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure, including wireless networks, wireless site upgrades, and civil construction.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and stakeholders.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or similar certifications are a plus.
