Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Production Supervisor at Garonit Pharmaceutical in Fairfield, NJ. The Production Supervisor provide direction to the Operations Department in areas of compliance, safety, service, performance, quality and leadership. Directs and coordinates activities of manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, and logistics to meet the sales and inventory objectives.


Standard:  3:30 PM to 12:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Occasionally: Saturday and Sunday may be required as necessary to support business needs.


Responsibilities

·      Provide leadership and direction to the manufacturing team in areas such as safety, planning, cost, efficiency, cGMP’s, quality, compliance and customer service.

·      Work closely with the Quality team to assure compliance throughout manufacturing and warehouse operations.

·      Manage the manufacturing scheduling process to meet expectations by optimizing the use of plant resources to complete assigned tasks on time.

·      Manage labor utilization to assure meeting or exceeding task expectations.

·      Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum cost and prevent operation delay.

·      Manage product yield, material usage and material loss.

·      Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, cGMPs, safety standards and sanitation practices.

·      Monitor and control costs of manufacturing, quality, and sanitation.

·      Monitor plant performance and develop/implement action plans to address areas of concern.

·      Maintain continuous communication with all departments to assure manufacturing priorities and shortfalls are addressed in a timely manner.

·      Embrace change and participate in continuous improvement of Manufacturing and Control Systems and Processes.

·      Train and develop operators

·      Schedule workload to meet release objectives and deadlines

·      Manage the operations input and output of SAP

·      Other duties assigned by Management

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline 

5+ years experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing in a leadership role

Strong understanding of cGMPs.

Experience working in an FDA regulated environment
