Environment, Health and Safety Manager

A leader in the world of business aviation services providing aircraft management and executive terminal services as well as maintenance, avionics and interior services based in the Midwest seeking qualified candidates for the position of Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist. The ideal candidate will have formal education in Safety Science or related field and experience in the aviation industry. ASP, GSP or CSP certification is a plus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- HS&E compliance including but not limited to related employee indoctrination, training programs, development and maintenance of internal policies and procedures, and on-going internal evaluation relative to HS&E regulatory requirements and (in conjunction with quality assurance personnel) third party safety standards adopted by the company (e.g., ARGUS, IS-BAO, IS-BAH, etc.)
- Chairperson of the company Safety Committee, provision of on-going support and assistance to departmental Safety Managers in safety risk management, investigation, root cause analysis and mitigation of safety related risks and events, and maintenance of company safety reporting system.
- Designated Employer Representative for the company’s FAA/DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing and Mis-use Prevention Program including related employee training, administration of the program and interface with FAA Drug Abatement Division personnel - Note that the company also utilizes a third-party administrator (TPA) in support of this program.
- Ensure on-going local, state, and federal environmental compliance for all company facilities.
