Our client is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company pursuing novel therapeutics for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), a liver disease with unmet medical needs. Our client needs a Field Medical Consultant, or a Medical Science Liaison, to help support their growing Medical Affairs team.

This is a 9-month long assignment, and the consultant will be required to be onsite in the Philadelphia, PA area 2-3 days/week.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Med Affairs Health Systems, commercial organization, operations, and other stakeholders to support field educational needs
  • Responsible for CPL activities at US congresses including partnering with MSLs to ensure booth logistics, facilitating scientific communications, gathering competitive intelligence, and facilitating the development of pre- and post- conference scientific materials
  • Provide scientific expertise and support for speaker training and advisory boards as requested.
  • Gather insight on how to optimize call reports and account management within Veeva

Requirements:

  • BS/BA in the life sciences or in a related field; an advanced degree (eg., MBA, MS, PharmD, PhD) is preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant clinical practice / medical affairs experience, at least 3 years of field medical experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or equivalent
  • Ability to understand and convey emergent scientific information
  • Knowledge of and experience in clinical medicine, disease management and medical research in at least one therapeutic area (metabolism or nonalcoholic steatohepatitis strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of US regulatory standards for field medical affairs activities in the US
  • Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills


Location: Philadelphia, PA area 2-3 days/week onsite
