We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, compassionate individual to join our team as a Dietitian to support our members, their families, and our clinical team.

As a Dietitian, you will play a critical role in promoting health and wellness by providing personalized nutrition counseling and education to individuals and groups. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to assess dietary needs, develop tailored nutrition plans, and empower members to make informed choices for optimal health.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' dietary habits, health status, medical history, and nutritional needs.
  • Develop individualized nutrition plans based on assessment findings, considering clients' goals, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Provide evidence-based nutrition counseling and education to clients on topics such as weight management, chronic disease management, sports nutrition, prenatal nutrition, and more.
  • Monitor clients' progress towards nutrition goals, track dietary intake, and adjust meal plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and other allied health professionals, to integrate nutrition therapy into overall treatment plans.
  • Educate clients on reading food labels, portion control, meal planning, and cooking techniques to promote healthy eating behaviors.
  • Stay abreast of current research, trends, and guidelines in nutrition and dietetics, and incorporate best practices into clinical practice.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client assessments, interventions, and progress notes in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of nutrition science, biochemistry, physiology, fitness principles, and medical nutrition therapy.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex nutrition information into understandable terms for clients.
  • Empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in nutrition assessment tools, dietary analysis software, and electronic health record systems.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and professional conduct outlined by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) Code of Ethics.
  • Continuing education in nutrition and dietetics to maintain licensure, registration, and stay current with advancements in the field.
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screen.
  • Maintain compliance with all Gloria Gates CARE standards, including Conduct, Compliance, and all other policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution. A Masters Degree is required if you were credentialed after January, 1, 2024.
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)-approved program
  • Must be licensed as a Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN) through the Commonwealth of PA and credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Two plus years of experience in clinical nutrition, community nutrition, sports nutrition, or food service preferred.
