This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT analyst with strong clinical understanding to join a growing and thriving independent community health clinic. This position will work on-site in Bowling Green, KY.


The Graves Gilbert Clinic is seeking a self-motivated, high-performing Data Analyst. This position will abstract, analyze, interpret, and report data across all value-based programs (ACO, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Commercial, Specialty and more). The data presented will provide insight on past performance and support the identification of improvement opportunities and clinical initiatives for the future. This position will maintain and support effective and responsive relationships with leadership and key internal/external stakeholders.


The Data Analyst Value-Based Care position is a great opportunity for someone who is self-driven, dynamic, a pioneer-type individual who can work independently as well as collaborate with all departments. The individual will assist in building the new ACO from the ground up, will have experience in reading reports, understanding, and communicating the results of reports.


Responsibilities include:

  • Understand underlying business operations, data, data capture processes, and system integration to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and run SQL queries and other data collection techniques to support assigned business areas and organize the data into a format for ease of review and use.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, test, and modify reports, spreadsheets and dashboards as assigned.
  • Present project status updates by defining progress, problems, and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to data sources, data definitions, report, and analyses logic.
  • Ability to translate data into clinically actionable stories for actionable.
  • Handle other duties as assigned.


Ideal candidates will have:

  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in a data-driven healthcare professional setting as a Data Analyst.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience analyzing and managing large data sets.
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of data querying techniques, especially SQL, MS SQL, and MS Excel Programming.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Power BI/Tableau for report creation, publication, distribution, and permission/security administration.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detailed-oriented and proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Candidates must be able to work on-site in Bowling Green, KY.
  • Candidates must have current experience working in a hospital, healthcare system, and/or multi-specialty medical group.
