Job Overview: ECM is seeking a highly competent front-end developer with UI/UX design experience to further enhance the user experience of ECM’s PrintStator web application. You’ll be responsible for prototyping front-end functionality and translating design concepts into seamless web interfaces, ensuring that users have a premium experience while interacting with ECM’s CAD platform. In this role, you will design, develop, modify, adapt, and implement short- and long-term solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including product managers, software developers, and application engineers to understand project requirements, user needs, and integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
  • Implement responsive web designs using Vue.js.
  • Optimize web performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth interactions.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues.
  • Continuously improve the UI/UX through user research, usability testing, and iterate on designs based on feedback and best practices.
  • Craft intuitive user workflows and information architecture to enhance user experience.
  • Design and create front-end prototypes that align with align with user-centered design principles.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2+ years of front-end development experience with at least 1 year of experience with Vue.js in a professional environment. An ideal candidate may currently be working as a front-end developer with a background in design.
  • B.S. in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Interaction Design, or Graphic Design), or equivalent experience.
  • Deep knowledge and proven experience working with the front-end framework Vue.js.
  • Experience with the WebSocket protocol.
  • Knowledge of proper implementation and security practices for JWT-based authentication.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and usability best practices.
  • Basic understanding of back-end development and APIs.
  • Citizenship requirement: Must be a citizen of one of the Five Eyes countries (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or the United States).

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and motivation in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Flexible and willing to accept changes in priorities as necessary.
  • Willing to accept and give constructive feedback as well as upskill members of the team (including vue.js best practices).
  • Ability to work independently (self-starter), prioritize tasks efficiently, and eager to learn new skills.
