What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking a forward-thinking and experienced control systems engineer to take on a leadership role in the design and implementation of automation and control systems for water and wastewater projects across the United States. This position is central to our engineering practice leadership team, and you will be responsible for significant client management, working closely with operators, maintainers, managers, and engineers to align project outcomes with client goals. In this role, you'll mentor less experienced engineers, while also enhancing your own skills by collaborating with seasoned experts in system design, networking, telemetry, equipment selection, construction supervision, and project management.
You’ll contribute fresh ideas and innovative solutions to projects, facilitate workshops, prepare deliverables and technical reports, and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Your contributions will help utilities improve operations, sustain systems, and produce and share quality data consistently.
Who You Are:
- A natural leader who can take decisive action to achieve goals, even in uncertain or challenging situations.
- Curious and inquisitive, you ask the right questions, listen carefully, and are always eager to learn more.
- Patient and persistent, you make steady progress toward your objectives, adjusting as necessary when faced with obstacles.
- Motivated to succeed and engage others with enthusiasm.
- A skilled communicator and relationship builder who connects with others, builds trust, and fosters teamwork.
- Innovative and forward-thinking, you’re excited about deploying both tested and emerging automation strategies in critical utility processes and systems.
- Committed to using technology to enhance safety, reduce risks, and improve operational efficiency.
- Driven by a desire to help build healthy communities and preserve natural environments by improving decision-making and processes for water and wastewater utilities.
- Enthusiastic about the consulting lifestyle, including traveling to different cities and working with diverse groups on a variety of projects.
Who We Are:
We are an employee-owned consulting firm specializing in the water sector. Our team works collaboratively with clients to provide innovative engineering, technology, and management solutions that lower costs, increase productivity, improve customer service, and maximize returns for utilities and communities. We are dedicated to strengthening people and organizations, streamlining and improving processes, and delivering value through cutting-edge information technologies and high-quality data.
Requirements:
- Registered Professional Engineer in the United States by examination, or able to obtain PE registration within 12 months.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in control systems design and/or system implementation, along with progressive Project Management experience.
