Mackenzie Stuart are currently partnered with a leading Manufacturer of Personal Care Products seeking a Controls Technician.


The primary focus will be maintaining the reliability of the making and packing lines to meet or exceed specified targets. This role involves technical troubleshooting and implementing improvements for the various automated systems on site.s.


Responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Troubleshoot existing PLC programs and HMI for six production lines.
  • Collaborate with controls and process engineers to improve current lines.
  • Complete tasks within scheduled timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and customers.
  • Operate with minimal direction from the Project/Engineering Manager.
  • Assist in designing control systems, including I/O and Motor lists, P&IDs, etc.
  • Perform on-site startup, commissioning, validation, and support.
  • Offer technical expertise during project execution.


To be considered for the role, the following education, experience and qualifications are required:

  • Technical education/University Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in industrial automation including PLC, Drives, etc.
