Position Overview

We are seeking a Civil Estimator - Asphalt Paving to join our team. The main purpose of this role is to accurately estimate the costs involved in asphalt paving projects, ensuring that all bids and proposals are competitive and profitable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for asphalt paving projects.
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project scope, materials, and labor requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate project estimates.
  • Prepare and submit bids and proposals for asphalt paving projects.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices related to asphalt paving and estimating processes.
  • Ensure that all estimates and bids are compliant with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to project managers and field staff during project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for asphalt paving or heavy civil construction projects.
  • Experience with estimating software such as HCSS, Bid2win, AGTEK, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong knowledge of asphalt paving and construction processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
