Custom Gardens is an award winning professional landscape design-build company seeking a talented and motivated professional to join our design and sales team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience and formal training in landscape and irrigation design. Outstanding verbal, written, and graphic communication skills are a must. The designer will need to have a passion for creative design solutions and an understanding of site evaluation and construction. The ability to create a sustainable space where people live with plants and outdoor elements in the Texas Panhandle that is not an easy task and that is why we work as a team.


Responsibilities include:

  • Create residential and commercial landscape designs using a variety of trees, plants, pavers, retaining walls, lights, and other outdoor features.
  • Analyze natural and manmade elements of the area including soil, slope, drainage, prevailing winds, sun and shade areas.
  • Meet with clients and manage client accounts and estimates.


Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional experience designing landscape and irrigation projects
  • Bachelor of Landscape Architect degree, Horticulture, or equivalent education
  • Autocad or CAD drafting ability
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills


Preferred Skills:

  • Licensed Irrigator
  • Licensed Landscape Architect
  • Ornamental Horticulture knowledge for Amarillo
