Microbiologist

Research Associate I

Location: Hercules, CA.

12 Month Assignment

Pay rate $36/hr.

On behalf of our client, a leading Medical Device Company, we are seeking a Research Associate I. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing generated data, meticulously documenting lab work and results in lab notebooks, and collaborating with the R&D and Marketing teams for use in science classroom setting. Your tasks will include providing updates, discussing results, addressing technical challenges, and planning next steps.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and executing well thought out experiments.
• Analyzing data and troubleshooting technical problems
• Thinking creatively to solve technical challenges in innovative ways.
• Working with a team developing products designed for use in a science classroom setting.

Education and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a life science discipline (biotechnology, biochemistry, cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology preferred)
• BACE credential preferred.
• Experience in molecular biology laboratory techniques including DNA extraction, PCR, electrophoresis (DNA and protein), plasmid cloning, sequence analysis.
• Experience with microbiology techniques including bacterial culturing, sterile technique.
