Insurance Coverage Attorney

WHAT YOU WILL DO• Provide advice and counsel on a wide range of insurance coverage issues, including claims undercommercial general liability, property, professional liability, and other policies.• Analyze and interpret insurance policies to determine coverage obligations and exclusions.• Manage all aspects of insurance coverage litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery,motions, and trial preparation.• Negotiate and draft settlement agreements to effectively resolve coverage disputes.• Develop and execute strategies for mediations, arbitrations, and trials.• Collaborate with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders to provide clear and practical legalsolutions.• Stay updated on developments in insurance law and contribute to firmwide knowledge sharing.REQUIREMENTS• J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in good standing with the State Bar ofChicago• 3+ years experience handling insurance coverage matters, with a strong focus on litigation.• Exceptional analytical and writing skills, with a keen eye for detail.• Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritize competing deadlines.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients and team members.• Experience in both insurer and policyholder representation is a plus.• Prior experience mentoring and supervising junior attorneys, and familiarity with the regulatorylandscape affecting insurance coverages in ChicagoCOMPENSATIONThe anticipated annual base salary for this position is 160-220k per year, depending uponexperience and other relevant factors. This is a bonus-eligible job that features a comprehensivebenefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
