Position: Quality Control Technician Location: Niles, ILDuration: 5 Months (Potential to convert FTE)Shift: 5 AM to 2 PMGeneral Description of Duties:Conduct material/product inspections including but not limited to: incoming, process, first piece, supplemental and final inspectionsMeasure and record material/product accurately using calibrated measuring equipment Control of non-conforming material/productMaintain material/product traceability and documentation Ensure tools, gauges, instruments and other measuring and testing equipment are calibrated Capable of carrying up to 40 lbs.Able to stand 4-6 hours daily (Ideally 6-8 hours/day) Other duties as assigned Skills and Experience Required:Basic mechanical aptitude Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and Word Proficient in all areas of quality inspectionExperience using measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers) to ensure compliance with specificationsAble to visually recognize and measure particulate as small as 0.8 sq. mm.Required Qualifications:Must successfully complete and pass a color deficiency testMinimum of one-year experience as a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspector in an ISO certified (or equivalent) manufacturing environmentProficient in English, written and spoken (bilingual in Spanish a plus Education Requirements:High School Diploma, G.E.D or Equivalent
