Shift: Schedule:3rd shift 5 x 8 10 PM to 6:30 AM OR 3 x 12 schedule 6 PM -6:30 AM [Flexible]


Required Skills:

  1. Vaccine requirement: Flu
  2. Medical Screening: Color Vision Screening, TB Screening
  3. Required experience: Generalist with Blood Bank experience [BB experience is not required but strongly preferred almost required.]
  4. Required education: BS MT, or MLT, BS with relevant experience
  5. **ASCP certification is required

Job Description:

Responsibilities are interchangeable within job titles of medical laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist or clinical laboratory scientist. Work environment/department will be listed in requirement. Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.


Need and Responsibilities:

Medical Screening required: Covid Vaccine, Hep B vaccine, Hep B Titer Screening, TB Titer Screening, Color Vision Screening


  • 1 – Is this for and Medical Lab Technician [2 year MLT degree ] or Medical Lab Scientist / Medical Technologist [4 year BS] or are you open to either? – Targeting MT/MLS but open to MLT with relevant experience and background.
  • 2- Please confirm if ASCP or AMT certification is required. [If required, are you open to eligible /registered candidates?] Not Required but helpful
  • 3- Are you seeking a generalist [proficient in testing in all Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation] or are you seeking a Micro Lab worker with Molecular background? Yes Generalist with blood bank experience if possible.
  • 4- What department will this technical position support? [Micro lab, Core lab, DNA sequence, etc.] All General lab departments in a hospital facility.
  • 5- Is Blood Bank experience required for this role? Preferred
  • 6- Please confirm if color vision screening is required? Yes
  • 7- Please confirm vaccine requirements for this site? [Dtap, Hep B, Covid, Flu, Varicella, MMR, etc.] Hep B, Covid -NO DECLINATION ACCEPTED- HARD REQUIRED.
