Sr. Financial Analyst

Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, reporting directly to the Plant Controller and working closely with the Operations/Plant team and greater Finance team. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing performance insight, ongoing analyst of product cost, development of new product cost, inventory control and margin analysis.

This is a key location for our client's division, investments made to the location with additional growth plans for the future

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Provide detailed recurring analysis of Cost of Goods Sold, inventory and gross margin and meaningful variance explanations
• Establish standardized reporting for Cost of Goods Sold and Plant Performance Measurements
• Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the cost accounting and inventory function for the organization and interact directly with operations and procurement team
• Manage head count and associated costs for the operations unit and confirm that changes add to performance goals
• Contribute to annual budget and planning processes and ensure integrity of the budgeting and forecasting of Cost of Goods Sold
• Partner with operations team to develop financial plans aligned to operational goals
• Provide financial support for new initiatives, productivity ideas, feasibility studies, plant restructuring projects, and ad hoc data requests
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing, internal financial reporting and financial analysis

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• BS in Finance, Accounting, or similar analytical discipline
• 3 years of cost accounting, cost analyst work experience in a standard cost manufacturing environment
• Experience in costing inventory/cycle counting
