Role: Appian Developer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify problems and provide application development/maintenance solutions for line of business applications.
• Work independently and with agency staff to test and implement approved solutions.
• Engage with vendor support on the agency's behalf to identify and troubleshoot problems as needed to facilitate upgrades.
• Provide primary application support for system and application component upgrades.
• Primarily support the modernization transition.
• A combination of two roles will be considered, and the agency prefers a blend of Appian and Legacy application development experience.
• Experience with Legacy Oracle environment in combination with legacy code for operation of government systems is preferred.
• Appian experience will be considered as a multiplier for years of experience and is highly preferred.
• Education will be considered as a substitute for years of experience.

Required Skills:

• 8 years required: Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. Investigate problem areas. Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications.
• 5 years required: Appian development experience.

Preferred Skills:

• 10 years preferred: Experience with legacy applications.
• 10 years preferred: Experience transforming/modernizing legacy environments.
• 5 years preferred: Agile Development experience.
