Title: Sr Payroll Specialist
Location: Calabasas, California
Duration: 3 month with possible extension
Can be in the Calabasas, CA, office area as well Open to candidates in Tulsa OK as well with strong experience/background
About the job
Minimum of 10 to 15 years of direct payroll experience required
Responsible for the preparation and processing of semi-monthly payroll for 1000+ US employees;
Understand multi-state payrolls
Monitor and run audit reports for timecard imports from ADP time & attendance to ADP WorforceNow, for 200+ Non-Exempt employees
Review and process necessary new hire paperwork, Leave of Absence updates, W4 changes, garnishments, manual changes as needed
Prepare Earnings & Deduction Batches for audit prior to transmission
Run reports in ADP prior to transmission for pre-transmit validation
Prepare manual checks as needed
Transmit Payroll for US Companies
Run reports and standard ADP reports for post-transmission audit
Prepare 401K reconciliation prior to posting 401K contributions to Fidelity site
Prepare FSA reconciliation prior to loading file to 3rdParty Administrator
Communicate and coordinate compensation data with HR department
Research, analyzes, and resolves payroll-related problems or questions.
Recommends or participates in the development of new procedures and policies related to payroll operations utilizing knowledge of state and federal policies and regulations.
Assist Payroll Manager with special projects as needed
Analyzes and resolves employee payroll inquiries regarding their paycheck
Ensure confidentiality of employee’s information.
Reconciliation QTD & YTD Stock with the Stock Team.
Maintain States Tax and Registrations as needed.
Job Requirements
ADP WorforceNow experience required, R&R preferred, but not required
ADP Time and Attendance and Oracle Time and Labor experience preferred, but not required
Experience and strong understanding of Employee and Employer payroll taxes
Dependable and strong attention to detail
Team player, but comfortable working independently
Must be able to work under tight deadlines, with flexibility
Should be able to deal with difficult, sensitive, and confidential issues
Must be well organized, flexible, and able to work in a fast paced environment and meet multiple simultaneous deadlines, while maintaining a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality;
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Skills:
