We are seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer with a focus on PCB and enclosure design to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of life-saving solutions.
Position Summary:
Bioptics Technologies is looking for a Hardware Engineer to aid in the research and development of state-of-the-art technology. An ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in PCB design and enclosure design. The engineer should possess a strong background in hardware development, with experience taking products from ideation to mass production. The engineer will play a crucial role in designing and implementing hardware solutions for our medical and research tools, ensuring the highest level of reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain PCBs for medical and research devices.
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate hardware and software solutions.
- Create and optimize enclosure designs for devices, ensuring functionality, durability, and aesthetics.
- Take products from ideation through to mass production, including prototyping, testing, and production support.
- Develop detailed documentation, including design specifications, schematics, and manufacturing instructions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of hardware-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCB design and enclosure design.
- Proficiency in PCB design software (e.g., Altium, Eagle) and CAD software for enclosure design (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Strong knowledge of electronic components and materials.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and techniques for both PCBs and enclosures.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Ideally have had experience in taking products from ideation to mass production.
- Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
