Healthcare Compliance Officer

The Healthcare Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to regulatory standards and internal policies. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, conducting audits, and providing training to staff to promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Create, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs that align with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry best practices.
- Stay updated on relevant healthcare regulations, laws, and industry standards. Assess the impact of new regulations on the organization and recommend necessary changes.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. Analyze audit findings and develop corrective action plans as needed.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on compliance-related topics, including HIPAA, fraud, and abuse prevention.
- Investigate compliance-related incidents and allegations, documenting findings and ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the board of directors, highlighting risks, trends, and compliance issues.
- Work closely with various departments, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure a coordinated approach to compliance across the organization.
- Develop and maintain compliance-related policies and procedures, ensuring they are communicated effectively to all staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare compliance or a related field.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) is a plus.
Please note- The annual base salary range is $70k to $90k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
