We are seeking a Traveling Mechanical Project Manager either local to Chesterfield,MO or willing to travel the county to oversee mechanical projects across multiple locations. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with expertise in mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC systems, including those with MEP project management experience at a general contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical projects, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with all trades, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical, to ensure smooth project integration.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure safety compliance, and address project challenges.
  • Oversee procurement, scheduling, and resource allocation for active projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to meet project goals and expectations.
  • Review project documents, including drawings and specifications, to identify risks or opportunities.
  • Provide leadership to on-site teams, fostering effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project management for mechanical systems; MEP project management experience at a general contractor is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and piping systems in commercial or industrial construction.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Familiarity with construction safety standards and practices.

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to work a travel schedule of 6 days per week, with 10-hour shifts each day.
  • Must remain on-site at the job location for the project’s full duration.
  • Eligible to travel home every 3-4 weeks for a 2-3 day break.
