About the job: We are seeking a Junior to Mid-level Application Developer to join our project focused team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to get in at the ground level of a full stack application build out. With the added benefit of being able to earmark their career with the sense of accomplishment of a full duration complex project start to finish. In this role you will collaborate closely with a small, focused agile team to understand, redesign, rebuild, and improve an already proven internal line-of-business application. The need to improve our access to and capturing of data from our field operations teams drives the requirements for this position.


Your responsibilities will include producing quality code to address application requirements, assisting in the establishing and implementation of dev best practices, debugging and participating in code review, and self-correction of code base to promote best practices and standardization. Duties include:

  • Work closely with team lead to complete application functional requirements
  • Utilize problem-solving and creative thinking skills to satisfy application requirements in a robust, user friendly and efficient approach
  • Maintain a “Full scope understanding” of the application to better assist in best approach solution to requirements
  • Participate in code reviews and provide insightful feedback to peers, promoting code quality and best practices
  • Maintain a high level of autonomy and consistency of requirement completion


Skills

  • Strong proficiency with front-end development using the frameworks of Angular, React as well as JavaScript
  • Strong proficiency with CSS and HTML
  • Experience with Maven projects
  • Experience with git and GitHub
  • Knowledge of MySQL relational database design concepts
  • Strong preferential plus for experience in:

Wavemaker Rapid application development suite

Maven projects and design concepts

Java programing experience

  • Strong capacity to take initiative, ownership and successfully maintain a level of autonomy within the requirements of the project.
