Reports To: Director - Cross Border Business
Hybrid Schedule: Shift is Monday thru Friday 9am to 5:30pm - In office 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week based on business needs.
Summary: Daylight Transport is seeking a Cross-Border Specialist to join our team. This Specialist will be responsible for supporting, administering and growing our US / Mexico Cross Border Initiative. The Cross Border Specialist will serve as a key point of contact for Customers, Customs Brokers, Carriers and internal resources as it relates to Cross Border shipments. Engagement may be executed through live meetings, virtual meetings and telephone calls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Organize Cross Border shipment operations - aligning customs brokers and Mexican carrier partners.
- Communicate directly with all stakeholders – to include Customers, carrier partners, customs brokers and internal resources.
- Perform quoting functions were requested and required.
- Support carrier management efforts.
- Be and advocate for service.
- Support Sales efforts where required.
- Track, trace and expedite Cross Border shipments.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Education and/or Experience:
Must have at least one year of experience in Cross Border shipping and knowledge of US and Mexican Customs Clearance Operations. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Some post high school training preferred.
Language Skills: Must be proficient (speak and write) in Spanish and English with the ability communicate.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, rates, transit times, mileage, and metric/imperial conversions.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Other Skills/ Qualifications: Computer literate.
