Senior Paralegal

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join its legal team in Westbury, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plaintiff-side personal injury litigation and will support attorneys throughout all phases of a case—from client intake through settlement or trial. This role requires exceptional organization, professionalism, and strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel. Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and file legal documents, including complaints, discovery responses, subpoenas, motions, and settlement agreementsManage and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and up to dateCoordinate and schedule depositions, independent medical examinations (IMEs), and court appearancesRequest, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and related documentationCommunicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and gather necessary informationTrack deadlines and ensure timely filings and responsesPrepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and materials for hearings and trialsAssist with negotiating and finalizing lien resolutions and settlementsQualifications5+ years of experience as a paralegal in a plaintiff-side personal injury law firmStrong understanding of personal injury litigation, court procedures, and legal terminologyProficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office SuiteExceptional organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with a legal teamParalegal certificate or Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree preferredCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary: up to $75,000 – $80,000, commensurate with experiencePerformance-based bonusesMedical and dental insuranceRetirement planPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunities
