Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Process Engineer to lead and manage capital investment projects ranging from $0.1M to $3M. The ideal candidate will oversee the complete lifecycle of projects, including definition, engineering, execution, commissioning, and startup, ensuring optimal safety, efficiency, and quality in the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to and enforce Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple small to large-scale capital investment projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sourcing managers on procurement activities and oversee external engineering teams and deliverables for larger projects.
  • Process Design & Engineering:
  • Write detailed Process Functional Descriptions.
  • Develop General Arrangement Drawings.
  • Handle the sizing and selection of process equipment.
  • Choose appropriate materials of construction.
  • Define equipment and instrument specifications based on Generally Accepted Engineering Practices, Standards, and internal Best Practices.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance, support, and troubleshooting for manufacturing and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of plant technical process flows, operations, and chemical processing equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle progressive responsibilities and a track record of successful project execution.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with environmental guidelines and compliance with state, federal, and local regulations.
