Our client, a healthcare consulting firm in Chicago, is looking to add a Vice President of Strategy to their team. This individual will play a vital role in providing strategic guidance and insights to healthcare organizations. Your expertise will help shape and drive impactful strategies that improve the efficiency, quality, and profitability of client operations. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to develop comprehensive strategic plans. that align with their business objectives and address key challenges in the healthcare industry.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understand their unique needs, and act as a trusted advisor. Present findings, recommendations, and strategic insights to key stakeholders, including executives and board members.
  • Lead and manage strategic initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality deliverables. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to execute projects effectively and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the healthcare industry, effectively communicating complex concepts to diverse clients.
  • Lead the development of consultancy assignments, including market research, enterprise-wide strategy formulation, growth strategy assessment, and service distribution planning.
  • Create analytical frameworks to address client concerns, evaluating organizational positioning across key dimensions such as quality, cost, access, and competitiveness.
  • Ensure successful project management and deliver outcomes.
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives by generating intellectual capital.
  • Understand the firm's business model and support the professional development of staff within the strategy practice.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a strategic role with experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in a consulting capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as healthcare administration, business, economics, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MHA, MPH) are highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including healthcare systems, providers, payers, and regulatory environments.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse set of projects including organizational planning, partnership evaluation, physician strategy, etc.
  • Demonstrable project management experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage 4-6 simultaneous engagements.
