Stuck in an off shift job? This is a 1st shift position. Tired of rotating shifts? We don't use them; at Tylok, you'll have a consistent schedule weekly. Worn out by 12 hour shifts? We work a straightforward 5 day/8 hours per workday schedule weekly. Fed up with piece work? We don't use it.


As a CNC Lathe Operator, you will operate a variety of one, two, and four spindle CNC lathes or CNC Swiss lathes to produce precision-machined threaded stainless steel, steel, and brass components. In a typical day, you will operate a cell of 2 to 3 machine tools. Note that the parts are relatively simple to machine and the cycle times are set to facilitate operating more than one machine. You will be expected to check machined parts using common gauges, deburr parts, put parts in pin racks, and carry racks to nearby holding shelf for the handoff to Inspection and the next step in the production flow.


Requirements include 2+ yrs. of experience operating one, two, and four spindle CNC lathes or CNC Swiss lathes to make stainless steel precision threaded products, maintaining production requirements, and meeting applicable quality standards.


Candidates must also have the proven ability to read prints and job documentation and check sample parts using basic manual and digital gauges. We expect that candidates will own basic machinist gauges.


Candidates should also have:

  • Solid skills in oral and written communication, problem solving, and follow up.
  • The ability to work effectively with a broad range of personalities.
  • High adaptability and flexibility.
  • Exceptional reliability.


Preferred experience includes:

  • Inserting programs.
  • Touching off tools.
  • CNC Swiss lathe experience. We are adding brand new Swiss machines this summer.
  • Reading/adjusting CNC G-code (Fanuc) programs


Provable setup skills for machining similar parts are a definite plus (and merit a pay premium).
