CNC Lathe Machinist

Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA


A machinist will produce machined parts by setting up and operating mills; maintain quality and safety standards; keep records; and maintain the equipment.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3 years minimum experience working as a CNC Machinist, specifically in LATHES
  • Proficient in the use of inspection tools (calipers, mics, and gauges)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and travelers.
  • Well organized; detailed oriented; strong work ethics and ability to self motivate.


Duties/Responsiblities

  • Set-up and run 4 to 5 axis vertical and horizontal CNC lathe machines.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, process sheets and work instructions to determine specifications and machining to be done.
  • Loads control media in machine controller or enter commands to retrieve programs from file server. Makes minor edits to programs.
  • Performs own inspection utilizing precision measurement instruments.
