Position: Sr Director of EngineeringLocation: Oak Forest, IL 60452 - local candidates are preferredTravel: Up to 50% (Atlanta, GA area for the next 3 years)The Senior Director of Engineering is a key strategic leader responsible for overseeing all engineering functions that support the company’s manufacturing operations, capital projects, and long-term growth initiatives. This role will guide the development of engineering standards, lead modernization efforts, and drive process improvements across multiple facilities to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Lead and develop a high-performing, multi-disciplinary engineering team.Define and execute engineering standards, capital plans, and continuous improvement initiatives across all plants.Oversee large-scale capital projects ($2.5M- $30M+), ensuring alignment with business strategy and operational needs.Drive innovation through the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and process optimizations.Ensure compliance with food safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.Partner with Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership to support strategic growth and expansion projects.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering (advanced degree preferred).8+ years of engineering leadership experience in food or process manufacturing.Proven success leading capital projects, process improvements, and cross-functional teams.Strong business acumen, communication, and project management skills.Experience in meat or oil processing industries preferred.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
