Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Development:
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java-based applications for banking systems.

  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • System Integration:
  • Integrate various banking applications and third-party services.
  • Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between different systems.
  • Compliance & Security:
  • Implement and maintain systems in compliance with FICA regulations and other industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure applications meet regulatory requirements and security standards.
  • Performance Optimization:
  • Monitor and optimize application performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Conduct code reviews and performance tuning to enhance system efficiency.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, product managers, and QA testers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development.
  • Proven experience with Python programming.
  • Solid understanding of FICA regulations and compliance in the banking industry.
  • Experience in the financial services sector, particularly in banking.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Python.
  • In-depth knowledge of software development best practices, design patterns, and data structures.
  • Familiarity with banking operations, products, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Experience with Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).
  • Proficiency with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with web services (REST, SOAP) and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Additional Requirements:

  • Certifications:
  • Relevant certifications in Java and Python are a plus.
