The ideal candidate must also be well-versed in WordPress.To be considered for this role, you must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington.This is a temporary full-time role that can be worked remotely, however, hours are 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. Pacific time zone due to collaboration with teammates centered in India. No third-party agencies, please.The RoleIn this full-time vendor role, you will join a high-performing group of digital storytellers on the company’s brand journalism team, which uses its multimedia platform to tell the stories of people and organizations developing and using its technology in imaginative, innovative and life changing ways.Prepare communications of regular site feature updates between development and editorial teams.Assist in WordPress microsite creation and help support a team of journalists, editors, and producers with WordPress production questions.Work with hosting and application teams to triage, troubleshoot, escalate, and/or resolve issues as they arise.Perform quality assurance and usability testing of feature updates.Communicate platform best practices and training documentation to stakeholders, as needed.Produce site content in WordPress, as needed, including light image optimization in Photoshop.Required QualificationsExperience as a web producer in a publishing environment.WordPress experience.Experience working effectively in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines.Experience working with HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript – having the ability read it and understand how it will affect things on a website.Experience ensuring security and accessibility best practices.Ability to work under deadline; self-directed in a fast-paced environment.Experience with quality assurance and user acceptance testing of new features.Ability to work occasional off hours to support event publishing that may occur.Perform the security updates on server and enhance the website security.Understanding of Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) and W3C principles.OptionalAgency, journalism, or corporate experience desirable.ADDITIONAL DETAILSThe offered pay range for this position is $50,000-$55,000 per year, depending on experience and geographic location.Prowess Consulting is an equal-opportunity employer, and diversity is a core value for us.
