Our Construction Inspectors play an essential role in the construction of transportation projects that make a difference in people’s daily lives. They assist our clients, engineers, and project managers with inspection, surveying, materials testing, and other related tasks for various transportation projects. They are valued members of the Stonebrooke team


What you will be doing:

  • Perform field Inspection on various construction sites,
  • Ensure compliance with plans and specifications,
  • Daily Documentation, which includes diaries, quantity calculations, spreadsheets, and other forms of record-keeping,
  • Prepare pay vouchers, change orders, and overall contract administration documentation.
  • Perform labor compliance field reviews and verify compliance with project-specific prevailing wage requirements.
  • Periodically perform materials sampling and testing,
  • You may also be asked to perform various surveying tasks, write proposals and meeting minutes, and perform other technical duties.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, property owners, and contractors.


Preferred Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years of construction inspection or material testing or related experience.
  • A work hard, play hard, innovative attitude that enjoys being challenged.
  • A desire to grow with the company.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Good communication, organizational and technical skills.
  • A willingness to collaborate in a team environment.
  • MnDOT Technical Certifications in bituminous, concrete, grading & base, and other areas.


You must be able to work in all weather conditions. You must work with your hands and be able to kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. You will often work on uneven terrain, slopes, and trenches associated with construction sites.

Base compensation is expected to be between $35 and $45 per hour, depending on skill set, certifications, and years of experience. We offer a competitive, full benefits package.
