We are currently seeking a remote QA Tester with one of our medical group clients due growth. This is a contract to hire opportunity.

Overview of job/day to day:


  • Create test cases and test scenarios in Zephyr and an automated testing tool that thoroughly cover implemented functionality and satisfy business stakeholder acceptance criteria.
  • Use Selenium-Java with Service Automation to improve or implement an existing automation suite.
  • Extend the current automation framework to include validations at the microservice level.
  • Implement service-based automation for REST and SOAP calls in close collaboration with the team.
  • Use CI/CD pipelines to carry out test automation suites.
  • Integrate CI/CD pipelines on Azure platforms with Service Automation, Wiremock, and UI Automation.
  • Must be a strong Test Automation Engineer who can work alone, solve issues, and effectively interact with automation leads when more technical assistance is needed.
  • Take responsibility for and support both manual and automated streams to fulfill the release priorities set by the company.
  • Offer your knowledge of the creation, planning, and execution of test scripts. To achieve the team's overall test objectives, apply business and functional expertise, including testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology.
  • To confirm code deployments and other system changes, run smoke tests and regression tests in QA, UAT, and production environments.
  • Create, update, and monitor test case execution within Zephyr.
  • Identify, duplicate, document, and monitor issues through resolution via a JIRA-based issue tracking system.


Must Have Required Experience & Technical Qualifications:


As a QA Tester, this individual must be highly motivated, able to multitask and able to work in a fast paced IT environment. Qualified candidates must be able to self direct while working with others.


  • Computer science or a similar subject bachelor's degree
  • Have designed and carried out test cases for web-based applications for a minimum of 8 years.
  • 5+ years of significant expertise writing Java and Selenium-based UI and microservice automation.
  • Some familiarity with JIRA, Test NG, Jenkins, Maven, and IDEs like Eclipse or Intellij Idea.
  • Possess knowledge of version control software such as Git, GitHub, etc.
  • Three or more years' experience with any technology for service-based automation. (Examples: Rest Assured, Katalon, etc.)
  • 3+ years of expertise integrating mocking tools, such as Wiremock, with Azure systems.
  • Working knowledge in running test automation pipelines in CI/CD environments.
  • Expertise writing and executing SQL queries for data testing.
  • Must have working experience in Agile/Scrum Teams.
  • Experience with web front end, back end and mobile application testing.
