POSITION: SOLUTION ARCHITECT WITH SaaS – W2/GREEN CARD ONLY
LOCATION: CHICAGO, IL
TYPE: FULL TIME/DIRECT HIRE - HYBRID ROLE
As a Solution Architect with SaaS expertise for our direct software platform development client, you will play a crucial role in guiding clients through the implementation and rollout of their AI optimized scheduling and forecasting platform, with a specific focus on the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry by combining your expertise in business analysis, solution design, and technical knowledge. Experience with client engagement to ensure that the deployed solution meets their needs, achieves their objectives, and delivers long-term value. The goal is to become a Subject Matter Expert on the platform, demonstrating the most comprehensive understanding of the functional capabilities and intimate knowledge of how clients are using our platform with a deep understanding of the product's architecture, APIs, and integration capabilities, along with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities includes:
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs, challenges, and objectives. They conduct thorough requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews to capture essential requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
Solution Design: Using the collected requirements, determine the most suitable platform features within the Out-Of-The-Box (OOTB) system, utilizing proficiency in the platform's functionalities, configurations, and integrations.
This process aims to develop a solution design that is tailored to the client's business objectives, potentially encompassing the creation of processes, workflows, and data models in partnership with the Solution Architect and Implementation Lead.
Oversee the establishment of standardized configurations and preferences that align with the organization's requirements including the definition of default settings for various components of the platform, such as general settings, break types, KPI components/ Dashboards, People Settings, Metadata Types/ Layouts, user permissions, and other application configurations.
Custom Requirements & Prioritization: Validate customer functional requirements discovered in the sales process through discovery workshops and informational sessions with operational stakeholders.
Identification of new custom functional requirements in the solution design phase. –
Engage the Product Team to solution and design custom work in line with customer’s requirements and project timelines.
Present custom requirements to Prioritization Committee for approval.
Advocate for clients with our product teams, influence roadmap decisions, and suggest product improvements.
Change Management - Manage organizational change and ensuring successful adoption of the new software solution by developing change management strategies, communicate changes effectively to stakeholders, and provide support to minimize resistance and promote user adoption.
Work closely with the implementation team to identify potential barriers to adoption and develop strategies to overcome them, ensuring a smooth transition to the new software.
Technical Collaboration: - Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure that the solution design is technically feasible, aligned with best practices, and optimized for the platform's capabilities.
Client Engagement and Communication: - Maintain clear communication channels, address client concerns, and provide regular updates on the project's progress. Ensure that the client's expectations are managed effectively and that any changes or adjustments are communicated promptly.
Act as a trusted advisor to customers by providing best practices and identifying areas of opportunity throughout the implementation process
Solution Demonstration and Training: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the capabilities and value of the SaaS platform to clients and highlight how the platform addresses specific business challenges and delivers tangible benefits.
Provide training via a train-the-trainer approach, equipping customer with training sessions and materials to ensure continued success.
Provide support to clients to ensure successful adoption and utilization of the platform.
Client Advocacy: - Throughout the implementation process, advocate for the client's interests and ensure that the deployed solution meets their expectations by representing the client's needs within the implementation team, provide feedback on the solution's effectiveness, and advocate for any necessary adjustments or enhancements.
Post-Implementation Support: After the implementation is complete, continue to support clients, address any issues or concerns that arise, and provide guidance on optimizing the use of the SaaS platform serving as a trusted advisor by helping our clients maximize the value of their investment in the platform over time.
Knowledge, Experience, [Competencies/Capabilities] Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in Solution Architecture/Consulting or strategic alliances, within the technology or software industry.
Strong Solution Architect SaaS Required
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction throughout implementation.
Experience conducting requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews.
Proven ability to translate client requirements into actionable solutions, leveraging product's features and functionalities to create tailored solutions that align with client objectives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and addressing challenges that arise during the implementation process, ensuring successful deployment and integrations.
Ability to provide feedback on solution effectiveness and advocate for necessary adjustments or enhancements.
Experience in change management strategies to support successful software adoption.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to changing priorities. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Travel will be required to meet with Customers and attend industry events.
Comfortable with autonomy, resourcefulness, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have:
Deep understanding of the QSR industry, including its dynamics, key players, and emerging trends is desired.
